Good game but

It's a great game, it's just a tad to easy. I wish they had combos. The moves are a tad to easy to do.
All in all though it's a fun game that you can play with anyone.

Great game

The best Naruto game ever, the adventure mode is awesome with great boss battles. Right on time, you won't regret buying it.

cool game but tiresome

the game is fun i got it from amazon came in that same week to but after awhile it get very tiresome i beat the whole game won out everyone and so i just got tire of it so if your looking for a fun and cool game well this it.

Warning Beware

at first when you unlocking the chars its fun and you will battle sometimes more than likely but when you get all the chars and youve played wht them alot! then it starts to get boring unless you have another person to play with

BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!

This video game sequence for the Naruto Franchise is by far the most exhilarating one yet. The game produces such a vivid and interactive storyline during the mission mode that generates the sensation for player that he or she is actually taking part in the Naruto Saga from his moment of return to the Hidden Leaf,to his defeat of Pain and becoming the Hero of his village. The battle mode allows the players to fight using over 40 popular characters from the Manga, each with a unique amount of special attacks and jutsu that will leave the player wanting to play more. The team battle mode also allows for a team collborated ultimate jutsu that devastates your opponent. The online play feature is a first for Naruto on the Playstation format, and it does not disappoint. Battle the myriad of fellow Naruto fans around the world, and compete for storm points and trophies. One can also customize their own ninja info card for online play through various cards and titles the players obtain through mission and battle mode. If you purchase "Naruto Shippuden: Ulitmate Ninja Storm 2" for the PS3, you will enjoy yourself.

Enjoyable For What It Is

While I really enjoyed the first game as well as UbiSofts two Naruto games this one while stunningly visually appealing felt pretty much like the first game.
For any Naruto fan or fighting game fan the series is entertaining and playing the vast array of Naruto characters also brings out the enjoyment, but the one thing lacking which I truly enjoyed with the earlier mentioned games was the free roaming village scenario you got to do in those games which this doesn't have sadly. So yes while it's fun to play the game especially with a friend or two I kinda wish Ubisoft would be able to make a new Naruto game as well as I felt that those games were just as good sometimes a little better in some areas for the Naruto fan out there but anyway for the price this is going for right now I'd say it's worth getting either way. Sadly though even with this falling into the Shippuden Arc I just couldn't get into the game as much as I did with the first one, also with the games glitzy button controls bugs it made the gameplay annoying rather then entertaining. So again if you're a Naruto fan of the manga or anime series this one will entertain with it's vast array of characters you can play but all in all for myself it just didn't live up to the hype it was advertising...

2nd Best naruto game

The naruto games capped themselves at UN3 and never had some of the best features, i love this game still.
would of liked to see the last gen chars in it, and more jutsus. everyone should have 2 ninjutsus and ougis :/
still playing and loving it.

Best Naruto game since...well since!

This game was down right awesome from start to finish. The characters are completely insane and the animation is above all else. The basics are there. The story is a follow up on part 2 of the Naruto story like from the anime and the manga. But what make this the coolest Naruto game so far is that you have a different verity of characters to choose from; like The Sanin, Taka, the 4-6 tailed Naruto, the 4th Hokage, Killer bee,Granny Chiyo and my personal favorite almost all of the Akatsuki (except for Zetsu). This game delivers and I hope to see a Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 this Game rocks.

Fun if you are a fanboy, but linear story with little replayability

fun to go through and fight your way through the story even though we all know what is going to happen. It's great animation and drawing. I really like how they incorporated the anime and made the fights similar to the anime.
Not a superb fighting game but what do you expect? It stays true to the source. Was a lot of fun getting new characters and using all of their special moves. Lots of fun but don't expect non Naruto fans to enjoy it.

If you're not a complete fanboy, you won't like this game...

There are many fans of the series claiming "This is the greatest anime game of all time!". This game is FAR from it.

Where to begin? Let's start with the Story Mode.

It's a bit better than the first one in terms on being able to continue on with the story without collecting scrolls or playing Hide and Seek with Konohamaru. But that's not saying much.
Many fans claim that the cutscenes are exactly like the anime. While they do look simply amazing, they don't play out exactly like the anime as most fans want you to believe. Many people also like to claim that this is a way of it being more "interesting". Some of these things would count as what-ifs. For example, when 4-Tailed Naruto fired a beam, instead of Orochimaru defending himself, it actually hit him.
The boss battles are not very good. Sure the Naruto Vs Pain, Jiraiya Vs Pain, and Naruto Vs Sasuke were all done well, others felt odd and out of place. The 2 that come to mind are the Gaara Vs Deidara boss battle and the 4-Tailed Naruto Vs Orochimaru. Many fans claim these make you feel like you're actually Naruto fighting Orochimaru, or Gaara fighting Deidara. But see, these boss battles are nothing but Naruto characters with machine guns. Gaara fires bullets of sand, Naruto fires multiple beams. Which, in the anime, Naruto had to power-up in order to fire just one beam.
Going from place to place in the story mode is god awfully painful. You just walk. That's it. No more chakra sprinting, no more shadow clone jutsu throwing yourself across the ENTIRE villiage, nothing. You do have a jump though...but it has no purpose. I am not even kidding. I even tried constantly jumping to see if maybe you went any faster. Nope. Same speed.

Now to get on to the gameplay.

It's your regular button masher. On the Playstation 3, you just push O to punch. No extreme combos here with different button combonations. Just O. Yeah. Could they be anymore lazy? Ok, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. What else can you do? You can throw shuriken/kunai by pressing square. With triangle you can use chakra. Holding it can charge your chakra. If you tap it once, and then tap one of the other buttons, you can do a little combo. Triangle + Circle does your special. Triangle + Square makes your shuriken/kunai bigger and stronger. Triangle + X allows you to either dash toward or away from your opponent. You can also do an Ultimate, or Ougi attack by pressing Triange + Triangle + Circle. So I guess we are seeing a bit of differenciality here. Now we'll get into awakening modes. Awakening modes in Storm 2 are 10x more cheap than they were in the previous Storm game. Here, you can no longer use your Ultimate attack on them. And that makes things tough, because in this game your limited on what you can do, and some people's awakening modes are HUGE, so you can't punch them either.(well you could try, but good luck with that). Also, clashes have been taken out of this game. Fans who badly wanted to see Shippuden Naruto clash together his giant Rasengan with Sasuke's Chidori will have to wait for Storm 3.

And now, the last topic I'm going to review over is...online...dear god.

Don't go online. I mean it. It's filled with nothing but 12 year old kids spamming the heck out of you with their favorite Naruto characters. It's nothing but a button-mashing spam fight to see who's the cheapest gamer. Even if you win the fight, it still proves nothing about your skill as a gamer.

I'm sure there's something in this review I missed, but overall, the game is 'Ok', but it's in no way the "greatest anime game of all time". Fans of the series who have not bought this game yet, I'd reccomend sticking with Storm 1 or Broken Bonds until Storm 3 comes out. No, not Storm Generations(*ahem* STORM 2 DLC *cough cough*), Storm 3.
