One of the Best

The Game Boy Advance is a system that boasts of LOTS of great games. All of the great games are stellar, but this one puts a most of them to shame.

In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, you play as Sora who goes through many Walt Disney worlds where he fights monsters alongside Donald and Goofy with a compelling storyline to keep you playing.

For fans of the Kingdom Hearts series, it is important to know that a different battle system is used in this game than in any of the other games except the remake of this game for PS2. Instead of having free reign over the battlefield, you have to fight with cards, which are used extremely quickly, that have to be more powerful than the heartless's cards. Not that that's very hard.

Now, for those of you not willing to leave the Kingdom Hearts play style, lucky for you, this alteration is so close that there is almost no difference, and if you don't play this game you miss out on important details about Sora and Riku that fill in all those little details, and you miss out on a really great game.

All in all, a great game for ANYONE, and a must have for any Kingdom Hearts fan or dabbler.

Different & Still Good

This is probably best described as a "Card RPG" since that's what this game revolves around. This game's story is still pretty good, but it's very different from Kingdom Hearts. Fans may or may not like that fact, but the storyline DOES bridge the gap between Kingdom Hearts I & Kingdom Hearts II so fans should play it for that reason if nothing else.

Quite possibly my favourite game - EVER.

Aside from the Pokemon (hey, quit laughing !! :D) and Final Fantasy games, I'd say Kingdom Hearts CoM is, without a doubt, THE BEST game - EVER. This is one of the very few games that I've played, and defeated, over and over again. The story plot is excellent, graphics are so good, you'd swear you were playing a DS game, and I love the card-battle system. It's like if the game "war" and the FF/Disney characters had a baby, this would be the offspring.

I also love how when you defeat the game, there's ANOTHER game for you to play that is now unlocked. Although not as good as CoM, it's still good nonetheless, and will cater to your KH cravings if you felt the game went by too fast (which is very unlikely, if you ask me !).

I've purchased this game a few times now, and in fact, I plan on purchasing it again to play on my new DS Lite. I remember buying this game the day it came out on GBA, not knowing what to expect. I'd developed a repertoire at my local GameStop, because the guys who work there know how much I love FF and any other RPG. The guy suggested it to me after I told him how much I love the first two FF's as well as Pokemon series, so I bought this on a whim and haven't looked back.

I know that as new KH is being released for DS in the near future (although, I don't consider 5 months away to be "near" at all ...), so I'll be eagerly anticipating this one ...

In the meantime, if you're dying to give this game a shot before you spend almost $40 on the new one, give this one a shot. You can buy it on here for a fairly cheap amount. If you're disappointed (which you won't be), you can always re-sell it or give it to someone else. Not too much of a financial loss, if you ask me.

CRAP

bad graphics even for a gba game, controlls that are not very responsive, and a card battle system that sucks and is hard to use, I'll stick with the first two on the ps2 that are good

This game is a pain compared to old KH, but worth the time.

The card battles are tedious and annoying. Some of the cards do not work like you think they will. Sometimes the story lags. But it is worth it for the bonus stuff and an introduction to chain of memories stuff. I should have played this first. Its mostly a pain because in the previous game, I relied heavily on constant physical attack and not very much magc. BTW, if you get this, do not sell off all of your 0 level cards like I did. They are useful later on and an extremely tedious pain to have to go back and try and accumulate some.
