Don't believe the bad reviews

I almost didn't buy this game due to the multiple poor reviews, but I am really glad I did. All the games work great except Sorry. Sorry works ok, but everyone can see your cards and it takes a little while to get the hang of it. My wife and I agree the board game is better as a board game. Connect 4, Yahtzee and Boggle are all great! We have played them a bunch. When my wife and I first got married we used to play board games a lot, but that fizzled out. Now we have been playing this a couple times a week for an hour or two at a time. We really love Boggle. I will never go back to the board game version. The people who complain that the games are too hard to play must have issues with all Wii games because they are all pretty easy to play and understand with the exception of Sorry. Battleship and Sorry sliders are both pretty good too. Overall it would be a 5 if Sorry was better. Definitely do not buy this if you are getting it specifically for Sorry; however, Boggle, Connect 4 and Yahtzee are all tops!

Good alternative to dragging out the board games

I purchased this for my 9-year-old game-loving son for Christmas. It is so much easier to play this than it is to drag out all of the different board games it includes, not to mention cheaper to buy this than all of those board games. I especially like the Battleship because it is so much easier to play this than to get all those little pegs out in "real life", especially with a toddler running around my house who could choke on the pieces. We also really like the Sorry Sliders. I think this game is fun for all ages.

Too hard to use

I was really looking forward to making this game a weekly family ritual, however it is too hard to move the game pieces around. It is difficult for adults and completely frustrating to my five and seven year old. Great concept, but not user friendly. We gave this game a ten-minute try and it has never been out of the box again. Unfortunately, this one was a waste of money. Mario Kart made up for it, though!

You're better off buying the board games...

I suggest buying the board games before buying this Wii game. The controls on this game are terrible. 4 of us (ages 20-35) tried playing Yahtzee, and after much frustration, gave up and went and played a board game. The problem is that sometimes the game won't let you click where you need to click. The interface with the Wii-mote is just really poor. This is a disappointing title overall and I can't imagine buying it for children.

In all fairness though, can't really comment on many of the games besides Yahtzee. We tried Sorry Sliders and the game just seems random though overall it worked OK.

The only good part of this title is the host: Mr. Potato head. He kept us thorougly amused thoughout Yahtzee with his hilarious faces.

We gave up on this title pretty quickly and I doubt it will be used again. If you watch for sales, you can probably pick up most of the board games included here for the same price.

easier to just play the actual board game

At first I was so excited but as soon as we started to play we got really board, it kind of takes away the actual fun of board games. It is really cute but not really that interesting. I really wish I could return the game. O well maybe it will get better.
