Great for target audience - Dragon Ball Z Card Playing Fans

Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu for the Nintendo DS is a combination of a card game and a board game. You move along a board, making choices about direction, picking up items. When you an encounter an enemy, you card battle.

To begin with, you can choose from a variety of characters, to see their storylines. For each character you are given some basic background, allowed the opportunity to run through some tutorials if you want, and then put onto a board. Then you play your cards (rather than rolling dice) to choose how far you move on a given turn. You can get a variety of items as you move along the board, and you choose which direction you want to go at turns.

When you run into enemies, it converts into a card battle situation. You play your cards depending on whether you want to use an item, attack directly, or perform other actions. There isn't a lot of animation during the battles, but they do a good job of making it at least reasonably exciting, to find out who won and how much damage was caused.

The game is of course aimed at Dragon Ball Z fans. People trying to play this game without knowing the storyline will be completely lost. They reference characters, relationships and past events without any explanation at all. Just be aware that this was specifically created for fans of the game.

The game is rated E for everyone, and it really is suited for all ages. The card battles in general are about losing points, and although there is a death or two implied, they are not shown with graphic visuals.

Well recommended for card-loving fans of the Dragon Ball Z series. If you're not a fan of card games, you'll probably want to go for something more action oriented.

Kjds Gone Wild

I bought this game for my middle child, hoping it would come in time. I can't explain how pleased I was when the game not only came super fast but looks extremely well and plays even better. If this vendr has more DragonBall titles WE WILL RETURN FOR THEM AS WELL!!

DBZ: HD - DS Awesome game!

I'm not really into card games but I do like DBZ and have all three card games on the handheld and I would say this game and the one they made for the GBC Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors are the best in card games the GBC one is the one that really even turned me on to card games and made me like card games a little bit but yeah the DS game DBZ: HD is awesome a little repetative but really good. Buy this game you'll enjoy it.

ok game

game graphics, etc is good. However the game is a little boring (kind of like playing a board game).
