Pipe down, pirates

I've had zero problems with the DRM. All these spoiled teenagers are mad because they can't steal the game. This isn't anything like that UbiSoft StarForce DRM nightmare that actually damaged machines and acted like a virus on my computer (I still have UbiSoft junk I can't uninstall). I hadn't even known there was supposed to be a problem with Warhead till I started reading the reviews in here, and I've been playing it for a year, and I'm active on forums. You will never known there is DRM unless you try to steal from EA. Don't pay any attention to the whining.

The game is spectacular, if your machine can run it. You need top-end gear. My quad-core at 2.6 Gig pushing a GTX 280 OC is just barely playable at no AA and 1920X1200. I'd say I have about the minimum setup for a good experience, so I'm getting a GTX 295 soon, which should be adequate until the dual-chip GTX 480 comes out. The graphics are out of this world. Nobody else has even come close. The water especially looks real. I gave it four stars to leave room for improvement---there were a few too many cutscenes for my taste, and it was maybe a little too short.

Very Nice Sequel to Original Crysis

Though you don't need to have the orignal Crysis to install and play Warhead, I think it does help in understanding and appreciating the story and storyline behind Warhead. The graphics are just as incredible as in the original Crysis if not moreso. I thought the alien characters were more life-like and more terrifying than in the original. They are also stubbornly harder to kill. This game has a lot more action than the first Crysis. I understand that is by design but I honestly enjoyed the down time with the first Crysis -- the scenery was so beautiful I enjoyed the free time to just walk around. Anyway, for $20 I would say that if you enjoyed the orignal Crysis and had the hardware to play it, there's no logical reason to pass this sequel up. As to all of the uproar about DRM, I don't think it's an issue at all; it's quite nice to not have to have the original DVD in the drive to play and so you register online when you install. I guess I don't see the big deal there. If you have a 64-bit system (I do) you should get the update to the game which includes the 64-bit version. One last thing, I seem to recall others commenting on the duration of the game being rather short. It is definitely a lot shorter than original Crysis but whether that's an issue or not is something you'll have to decide for yourself. I thought the orignal was a bit too long and this one was surprisingly short. But taken together and divided by two, you have the perfect length :).

Bitten Once

I bought Spore before I knew about the DRM. After finding out all the negatives involved with the DRM and the purpose/uselessness of it's installation not to mention the potential threat to my brand new computer, I was pretty ticked. But I thought...Oh well, not much I can do about it now, guess I'll chalk that one up to my stupidity and ingnorance. And thus began the game of waiting for reviews. I first heard about this game and was genuinely interested. Would've bought it even though I never played the first, considering I usually stick to console gaming. I am now waiting for the DRM associated with SPORE to mess everything up for me. Maybe it was a bad idea to try to migrate to PC games.
Then I find out this game has DRM issues too. Wow...
EA: You got me once. That's on me. But no thanks, I will not help myself to a second serving. In fact...I'm never going to buy any of your games, PC or console. Your name has been scratched off the list. NO MORE EA.

good graphics, nice game

the kids enjoy the ability to start the game in spanish or english with their friends, nice graphics very realistic.

Crysis Warhead

This game has excellent graphics, sure it's demanding, but the graphics make up for it...
This is a lot more optimized than the original crysis, so runs well on older chipsets such as socket A amd sempron 2500 and a 256mb radeon 9550... which is my old pc. My newer pc maxes everything ( a pc which costed me 400-500 dollars to build in fall of 2008)

DRM is DRM is DRM, just put up with it, type in your code and get it over with. If you have problems with DRM, then before install go to the disc folder, and explore and find the install than click it and run as "admin", then everything goes without a problem.

If you are someone that has a random problem installing from the disc, then simple copy the disc into an ISO and use Daemon tools to install the game, but use the disc for playing the game once its installed.

People need to stop bringing down the rating of a game because DRM.
