  • OUTPOST: The site of the original Weyland-Yutani colony on BG-386 was abandoned, and soon reclaimed by the planet’s voracious jungle plant life. It is now the perfect hunting ground for all manner of wildlife.

Kick Ass!!!!!!!!!!!!

got the game this year and loved it. overall great little game for me. I don't have xbox live and i am not planning on getting it because gaming for me is just a passtime not my life. predator campaign was great and fun. human campaign was challenging but cool. alien campaign was great as well, capturing the alien characteristics perfectly. just wish graphics were a little better. the face hugger was greatly detailed as well. nice little comic book, too.

Great game

The game has gotten bad rep, mostly because they compare it to other games, while its not. The single player is fun as long as you do not sit there for hours straight and beat it. It gives a good point of view from each of the 3 playable classes. Fighting the aliens is similar to the movies, they sneak up on you just like in the movies, pop up out of vents and crawl on the walls/the ceiling very silently.

Very good single player. Multiplayer is not very good.

I am a big Aliens fan so when this game was announced I was excited.
The one player game is broken into 3 segments.
the first segment is the Marines. The Marine campaign is by far the best in the game. It is the longest and best written of the campaigns. After playing it I was ready for the new Aliens game coming in November. The atmoshpere and graphics do a great job of recreating the movie feel.
The second is the Aliens. This is a little tricky to control, but nothing that can't be handled. This has you saving the queen who talks to you thourgh mind to mind contact. You can climb on the ceilings and knock out lights to corner your prey. It is above average in play.
The final one is the Predator. He controls half Marine and half Alien. He is more moblie able to jump long distances does heavy melee damage and sports weapons like the Marine but mor distructive.

The one player game is a fun and creepy 10 to 12 ride. It is worth it being so cheap now that it is a no brainer.

The online horde mode and other multiplayer is not worth your time. It takes forever to find a match. When you do get in one after it is over you have to find another. The horde mode is boring and does not add anything to gameplay. The other other modes are decent but not really worth the wait to get into .

Overall it is a very solid game with the low price you can't go wrong!!

It Was Amazingly Stupid

Not only was the shipment inexspensive but also the price of the video game was awesome. The graphics were unbelevable. It is a must buy for anyone who has bad taste in video games. I mean the only flaw was that everything other than what i just talked about sucked. Dont buy it.

Graphics and Gameplay are great ... language is horrible.

I bought this game for my 14 year old son knowing that it has a MATURE rating. The graphics, atmosphere, and game play are all great. I am sad to say that we had to sell it. The language was way too rough. It would really be nice if an option could be added to make the language in these games less offensive. The game was correctly rated, fun to play and I highly recommend it. It was just not appropriate for our family.

Xbox360 overall Review on AVP

Overall I give it a 7 out of 10. I played AVP-Gold on the PC and have loved all the ailens / Predator Movies, So when I Got this game I put my expectations on Low just incase. I Loved this game, Its easy to follow and its connects to the movies but the overall game campaign was a short. Im glad I got this game at a Lower price insted of 60$. Its a fun game and worth playing but not at 60$. Get it used and give it a try. = )

Great Value ! 3 campaigns in 1

Play as 3 unique species, Humans, Predators & Aliens. All stories have pretty good length. Its fun playing a all three, get a nice change of pace

Human/Marine Campaign = Survivor Horror FPS

Alien Campaign = Stealth specialty

Predator Campaign = First Person Action (Stealth, Hand to hand combat, & Shooting)

Worth a buy

avp

didn't have a chance to play the game...disk did not work...i'am going to order another from amazon and then give it a try then

WARNING

the game is good but the map pack that comes with it expired 3/31/11 and I got my copy on 4/3/11 and contacted sega and they are no help also the face hugger was broken and sega has not responded to me yet

Good game, but glitchy

This game overall is decent and easy to pick up, it has a lot of fan service, but at a cost. Each sides campaign is relatively short, and the multiplayer gets old fast...
Pros:
Each race feels and controls well
Finishing moves/trophy kills are fun and gory
controls are intuitive for all species
checkpoints throughout the game keep the frustration down

Cons:
Through out the game there were many cheap deaths
glitches abound, from getting stuck as the predator in piles of debris and getting stealth kills for the alien not working
After a while the combat gets old and repetitive
The crazy AI, is inconsistent, mostly standing in the open, waiting to get killed, or other times incredibly hard.
lackluster story and short campaigns
